Abstract submisson

Abstracts can only be submitted online via the abstract submission form. Abstracts sent by post or email will not be accepted. No exception will be made. Extended abstract submission deadline: 24 January 2024, 11.59 PM (CET).

Guidelines for abstract submission

1. 1. Please structure your abstract using the following headings:
      – Title (the title is short and clearly describes the nature of the study)
      – Objectives
      – Methods
      – Results
      – Conclusions/discussion
      Include objective data in the abstract so that the reviewers can adequately assess the study. Avoid abbreviations, unless they are specified once. If you use brand or product names, please state the manufacturer and place of business. The abstract must be anonymized.
   2. The abstract text may not be longer than 250 words. Only plain text, no tables, charts or other graphics are permitted.
   3. Categories: oral presentation or poster talk.
   4. Spelling and grammar: The abstract must be written in English. It is the author’s responsibility to submit abstracts with no errors in spelling or grammar. Abstracts will not be corrected in terms of spelling or grammar before publication.
   5. Abstract authors must register for the congress by 8 March 2024 or advise us of withdrawal by this date. Registration ensures publication and presentations.

2. Procedure 

   1. After having submitted your abstract, you will immediately receive a confirmation by e-mail. If you do not receive a confirmation by e-mail please contact the congress secretariat at novcongressen@orthopeden.org.If you wish to submit other abstracts later, you may use your personal access codes. Should you wish to make corrections to an abstract already submitted, please send an e-mail to novcongressen@orthopeden.org. Corrections to abstracts can only be made up to the deadline.
   2. Abstracts will be reviewed by at least 2 members of the Scientific Committee.
   3. If an abstract is accepted for oral or poster talk, the presenting author must attend the congress and present it in person.
   4. All accepted abstracts will be published in an abstract book that will be available for participants.
